Who We Are

Where is what we do.

Our Mission is to continually operate as a Kingdom-Driven, Christ - Centered outreach Center focused on winning souls and extending unconditional love to all.

Our Mission is advancing God's Kingdom by loving God's people, one soul at a time.

Our fulfillment of the vision at One Love Christian Church from year to year rests heavily on the abiding Words of Jesus Christ, who gives us the Power Scripture of our ministry: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another.” -- John 13:34-35 (NASB)

About Us

We show the love of Christ and live out our vision through one of our hallmark scriptures. “For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.” -- Matthew 25:35-36 (NASB)

Our Beliefs

We eagerly accept our God-given charge to always remember the poor, the marginalized and the oppressed. By applying the above scripture, we are carrying out one of the greatest calls of our ministry, to meet the needs of our members and surrounding communities.

God has implanted within this ministry an unquenchable thirst and zeal to continuously walk in agape (unconditional) love and to serve the needs of our community through outreach.

As stated in Matthew by Christ Himself, outreach is at the heart of God and we will not forget that at One Love Christian Church. In order to keep us focused on this vision, God has challenged us to maintain 7 principles of purpose. These principles will be our guiding force to help us in keeping the vision!!

Our number one goal is and will always be the salvation of the lost. We will aggressively reach out to the unsaved and the unchurched, and people who simply want a “do-over” or, simply put, a fresh start from the mistakes they have made in their past. We want to expand to reach people from all races, cultures and socio-economic classes. We will embrace the charge to walk in the unconditional love of Christ and to demonstrate that love through word and deed.
We will seek the holistic improvement of each member of our ministry – spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially. We will preach and teach biblical mandates to achieve success in all these areas. We will also make available the necessary classes, group resources, and qualified individuals to help each willing member achieve holistic improvement.
We will empower youth in our church and community with the Word of God, programs, resources, arts, training and state-of-the-art facilities to meet their needs.

We will always strive for outreach programs for hurting people (i.e. homeless, poor, those with substance abuse issues, the incarcerated, widows, orphans, those who have suffered physical, verbal or emotional abuse, etc.).
We will have a kingdom impact on the city of Durham and surrounding areas with our television ministry, outreach campaigns, city-wide events, revivals, prayers, intercession, partnership with local schools, communities and city officials, etc.
We will continue to be the model for excellent ministry in our city and in the nation. We will always strive to be excellent in our customer service – how we treat our members, visitors and guests from the moment they pull into our parking lot to when they leave, and how we respond to them when they call, email or write with request or concerns. We will be the standard for excellence in how we treat people.
We will remain humble and maintain the spirit of love and sincerity that we have had since our inception at all times and give all credit and glory to God for our success.

Loving God. Loving People.

Our Leaders

God called Pastor Fitzpatrick into the ministry in February 2000; he gave his initial sermon at Orange Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Durham, North Carolina. In May 2002, Pastor Fitzpatrick began having Bible Study in his home and in May 2003 Pastor Fitzpatrick became an ordained minister. Soon thereafter, he became the founding pastor of One Love Christian Church affectionately referred to as “One Love.” One Love is a non-denominational church that welcomes anyone who wishes to worship Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth. God said, “You will know my disciples by the love they have one for another”. Pastor and First Lady Elder Pauline Fitzpatrick have challenged One Love to live up to the expectations of Christ and to always walk in love. Pastor Fitzpatrick is a dynamic preacher and teacher committed to making the Word of God come alive. He is passionate about fulfilling the call of Matthew 25 to reach out and feed the poor and clothe the naked. His service in our community has been recognized in many ways, one of which was being a finalist for the Lamplighter Awards in 2010. Pastor Fitzpatrick strives to continuously impact our community for the Kingdom of God and empower believers to live a victorious life. Pastor Fitzpatrick has a lovely wife, Pauline Fitzpatrick, and two beautiful children, John Fitzpatrick, III (Tre) and Cameron Alexandria Fitzpatrick.

Elder Pauline A. Fitzpatrick is an award-winning teacher who has a heart for young people. She taught for several years in Durham and Orange Counties and has served as the director of various after-school programs. Elder Fitzpatrick is grateful for the gift of teaching and uses it to bring others to Christ and gain the power to understand God’s word based on Proverbs 4:7. Elder Fitzpatrick’s greatest accomplishment has been giving her life to the Lord. In 2003, she accepted her call into ministry at One Love Christian Church and became licensed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was ordained as an Elder in April 2009. Elder Fitzpatrick loves the Lord and believes in following His lead. Her ultimate goal is to allow the Holy Spirit to have His way in whatever she says or does so that people will be saved! She has been charged by God to bring forth the unadulterated word for His people that will penetrate “even to dividing soul and spirits, joints and marrow!”. She is the founder of the Sisterhood of the Crown Women’s Ministry, which overall objective is to help women develop into the fullness of whom God created them to be, by understanding her virtue.
